Stephanie Simpson Headed into Pharmaceutical Private Sector

Austin – The Texas Association of Manufacturers (TAM) has named Lauren Wied Fairbanks as Director of Government Affairs and Operations. Longtime TAM Vice President Stephanie Simpson has accepted a government affairs position in the pharmaceutical industry.

“Stephanie Simpson has been a tremendous asset to our Association and manufacturers across Texas,” said Bennett. “In a few short years, Stephanie elevated this Association to new levels – efforts that take most organizations many years to achieve. From membership and operations to legislative and regulatory initiatives, Stephanie is passing a well-oiled machine into Lauren’s capable hands. We know that Lauren’s extensive government relations skills and experience will serve our members well.”

Fairbanks was previously a Principal at Waterloo Lobby & Advocacy, Inc. and worked for Beatty, Bangle, Strama P.C. and then-State Senator Glenn Hager.

At TAM, Fairbanks will oversee strategic planning initiatives, legislative and regulatory advocacy, membership support and recruitment, and coordination among the Association’s executive leadership. She will represent Texas manufacturers before Texas legislative and regulatory bodies as well as federal agencies.

Fairbanks graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Journalism and Communications.
